June 6th - Driving to Norquay Saskatchewan for Liseanne's wedding.

June 11th - flying home in the morning.

From June 2nd to June 11th I shall be home in Manitoba. *mind you* I'll be out of Manitoba on the 5th, 6th and probably the 7th out in freaking NORQUAY saskatchewan. Liseanne is getting married *woot!*
but that gives me 3 days prior and 3 days post wedding to see folks :D - anyways, drop me a line if you're free to hangzorz in there somewhere :D

Dude basically has said "it's not you it's me" without being that freaking cliche.
He has basically stated that he is so fucked from his last relationship, due to her being a mind fucking manipulative cheating thunder cunt, that he is just not ready for anything right now. But he wants to be friends. so... yeah.
I have the worst timing in the entire fucking galaxy.

My friend Christina wanted to go bowling for her birthday. Her husband works all evenings pretty much. So we were waiting for him to get home around 11pm. He arrives 10:30. she's still getting ready. 11:30... still getting ready... 12:30... still getting ready. FINALLY at 1am I go down and I'm like "okay hun, stop cleaning your apartment. we have to go" Luckily we found this place that's all "We're open until 4am on friday nights". So we hop on the bus and get on the subway up to FINCH (end of the subway line) to go bowling.
The good thing (I say good sarcastically here) Is that the last 2 subway stops are apparantly under construction, so we have to transfer onto a bus at this point. This bus takes FOREVER. and winds and weaves so much that I start to feel a little motion sick. FINALLY we get to Finch station. where we have now missed our connecting bus by 2 minutes. literally 2 minutes. we are all starving by this point - but random hot dog vendor FTW! So we nom on hotdogs outside, adn then start walking to the bowling alley - which thankfully isn't far away.
We arrive there and it turns out the WEB SITE IS FULL OF LIES - and they are closed. it is 2:30am at this point. I call the number on the sign and ask them. Theyr'e even INSIDE The building still. I'm like 'the website says you're open until 4am. there's 8 of us out here and its' 2:30 - your doors be locked yo." and he replies "oh well we changed the time we close. we're closed now. sorry, i'll make sure they know to update the website"

Sooooo we go to coffee time and have some warm noms to warm us up. hop on the bus back down to the college street car line (I fall asleep on the bus) take teh street car home. fall asleep. It is 6am.
we took a ton of pictures, and actually had alot of fun. Best non-bowling bowling trip EVER. |

Just sitting in the Library looking online for something to keep me entertained for the next 5 minutes. I figured an LJ post about how I'm prepping my portfolio for art school was a cool place to start. I need between 15-25 drawings, showing a variety of material. I'm honestly finding myself most comfortable with pencil, so I think that's what I will stick with. Conte makes me angry and Charcoal (which I LOVE) is too smudge-y to send in the mail in an application. Though i COULD get a high quality copy made... this is true.
Anyways, it's for an illustration/drawing program, so I figure pencil is best anyways, as that's the primay medium in which i'd be working in.
Don't have a scanner currently, but I will when I go home for Christmas, adn I'll show y'all the stuffs I'm handing in :D
Any idea on where to get subject matter from though? I can't obviously hire someone to sit for me, so I've been using modelling books, Fashion Magazines, ect... for the figure poses. Don't have the internet free on hand, but any books anyone could reccommend that I could pick up would be hot! :D

seeing as how martan is far too lame to post for himself, i shall do a quick updatering thing on the xmas sitch.
1. Laura is in Manitoba from early 22nd - late 30th
2. Jono is in Manitoba from 17th - Jan 1st
3. Martang is in Manitoba from the 18th (i think) to early 23rd.
that sort of screws the pooch for laura in the party me thinks. But if y'all do it otherwise i'm okay with that :D just have TONS of fun. :P
P.s. Shahin isn't going to be there this year anyways, so beth + martin is mor people for the party :P

I am planning on travelling from Toronto at rediculously early on the 22nd of December, I shall be in Manitoba until the 30th of December. so feel free to harrang me if you are interested in doing stuffs in that time period. |
